Shipping policy
We ship via standard couriers. The shipping service by which your order will travel depends on your address, ship day, product(s), and what you choose at checkout. Our shipping days are Monday through Friday excluding holidays. We may occasionally be prevented from shipping on a certain day due to circumstances beyond our control and we cannot be held responsible for resulting delays. We try to ship all orders received by 2 p.m. Eastern Time on the same business day and often ship orders that come in a little later. All orders that are not shipped on the same business day will usually be shipped on the next business day unless otherwise indicated due to special circumstances.
We usually ship from our warehouse in Somersworth, NH 03878 but may occasionally ship from other locations or drop ship.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: Except for orders shipping to Canada, international shipments will be sent DDU (duty, import fees, and taxes NOT prepaid). Those charges must be PAID BY THE CONSIGNEE AT DELIVERY. The consignee is also responsible for guiding the shipment through customs clearance.
SHIPMENTS TO CANADA: Shipments to Canada will be sent DDP (duty, import fees, taxes, and GST/HST/PST prepaid). You will be charged duty, fees, and taxes at checkout. You should not have to pay any additional amounts at delivery. If you are in Canada and are asked to pay additional amounts at delivery then please contact us before you pay.
TRANSIT TIMES: The transit times for various services are predetermined and depend on many factors including where you are located. We cannot rush shipments once shipped, couriers just don’t allow that. So, if you need it sooner please upgrade to a faster shipping method at checkout. Where shipping times are given in ranges you should account for your location when guesstimating when your package will be delivered. We normally ship from the New Hampshire, USA so delivery will likely be toward the end of the range for the West Coast or Pacific or in remote locations, more toward the middle of the range in the Midwest and South, etc.
DELIVERY DELAY: We rarely miss our shipping dates described above but delivery targets are sometimes missed by shippers. After we ship the package it is out of our control and we are all at the mercy of the couriers. All couriers have delay policies for events like bad weather and emergencies. We cannot accept liability for the actions of shippers nor circumstances beyond our control. If there is a blizzard in the Rockies or a riot in your city then those events may delay delivery to protect the safety of the couriers so please understand if that happens. To give the best chance of avoiding problems please do the following:
-Provide full first and last name for shipping labels
-Add the name of the business if you are shipping to a business address or hotel !!!
-If you are shipping to a hotel please note that along with the dates of your stay in the notes on the checkout page.
-Track your package so you know when to look for it.
-Retrieve packages from mailboxes and porches ASAP so the porch pirates don't poach it.
SHIPMENT MISSING: Please follow tracking reports for your shipment and collect it promptly after delivery to avoid theft. Most shipments will NOT require a signature for delivery and may be sent via the US Postal Service who deliver at mailboxes and NOT necessarily in the same place as UPS, FedEx, or DHL would. If a package is missing please check around your mailbox, in your mail room, in the bushes and under the stairs around your door, with your building manager, and/or with your neighbors first. If the package is still missing please realize that we will not necessarily know, especially if it was scanned as delivered, so please notify us immediately and we will try to help. Please provide as much information as possible (where/when you expected to get it, where you have looked, etc).
LOSS: We guarantee all shipments to get to the address that was submitted with the order. Orders that are scanned by the courier as delivered become the buyer's responsibility and we cannot accept responsibility if they go missing. If you submit an incorrect address then your shipment may not be recoverable and we cannot be responsible for loss. In the event of loss we may investigate and/or file a claim and we require your full cooperation to trace and/or locate, file insurance claims, etc. Failure to do so or to follow through on any aspect of the investigation/claim will constitute acceptance of the shipment as/where is.
DAMAGE: If a shipment arrives with damage then please notify us immediately and provide as much information as possible and photos if possible. In the event of damage we will investigate and we require your full cooperation to trace and/or locate, file insurance claims, and return any damaged item if asked. Failure to do so or to follow through on any aspect of the investigation/claim will constitute acceptance of the shipment as/where is.
